The Faculty has about 70 accomplished academic staff who distinguish the Faculty from other regional institutions in terms of the quantity and quality of research that they do. On a per capita basis the research achievement at the University of New England leads all the regional institutions and is amongst the highest profile of all Universities in Australia.
Thus, we back up our teaching programs with cutting edge research and publication.
In the Faculty it is possible to obtain training in a very specific discipline or alternatively to attain a well rounded understanding of the operation of business from a variety of perspectives from the law, economics, management, and so on.
We feature joint degrees within the areas of specialisation of the Faculty and also in connection to other Faculties; for example Science or Arts.
A major theme in the Faculty is to appraise and enable the commercialisation of the new wave of science technology, in such areas as information technology and biotechnology - and this can be done in conjunction with high quality work in other Faculties.
