Distance Education
A Tradition of Flexible Thinking
Flexibility is the key to our distance learning programs. Whatever your commitments you can study at any time and at any place, whether in a remote part of Australia or the world or traveling constantly with your work. Your study can be balanced with the competing interests of work, family and social commitments.
There is no doubt that you need to be more self-disciplined when you study by distance. You are not required to attend lectures or tutorials on a regular basis. Because of this it is very important that you have the right level of support throughout your studies. You will find this support through UNE’s use teaching materials, its online services and its one-stop administrative support staff and, of course, its excellent academic staff who are attuned to the needs of distance students.
The degrees are structured to enable you to take your time or to finish quickly depending on your priorities. You can opt to enrol in as little as one unit per trimester to enable you to retain a balance between work and other commitments or you can take on as much as your time permits. This style of study means that you continue to develop your career, enhancing your skills immediately with each unit.
