Welcome!
An important part of UNE's high quality academic experience is its commitment to teaching and learning. With one of the lowest staff-to-student ratios among Australian universities, UNE provides opportunities for students to interact more easily with fellow students and academic staff, promoting discussion and effective learning.
Technology and computer literacy are integrated into learning outcomes across the UNE campus. Online components foster communication, no matter where you are in the world, while introducing students to evolving methods of teaching and learning using contemporary technological resources.
Our Faculty is committed to internationalization. We aspire to achieve quality and content in our courses that reflects a global perspective. Our Schools have developed strong relationships with partners in countries such as China, Vietnam, Thailand, Bhutan, US and Spain and staff collaborate on teaching and research with these international partners. An example is the development and delivery of an international joint degree MBA International Social Entrepreneurship with partners in Australia, France and Spain.
Another example of our international commitment is a research project that connects Australian schools with schools in Korea, Japan, China, and Indonesia using high definition videoconferencing. The goals of the program are to provide rural/regional students with opportunities for global experiences by interacting with their Asian peers through videoconferencing and to motivate Australian students to learn about Asia.
The Faculty welcomes students from over fifty different countries including China, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, India and the Republic of Korea. We know that our on-campus international students enjoy the experience of living in a small, safe regional town where they can mix very easily with the local community.
UNE and the Faculty of The Professions believe it is very important to attract high quality postgraduate students and have worked with Governments to help sponsor such students.
