Strategic plan for July 2004 - June 2007

 

2004 - 2005          

Activity

 Grants                                        

  • Develop one ARC Linkage or ARC Discovery application for submission in 2005
  • Apply for 2-3 FEHPS IRGs for the 2005 round
  • Apply for 2-3 UNE URG for the 2005 round
  • Apply for other relevant grants as applicable

Postgraduates

  • Promote relevant awards (PhD; EdD; MEd (Hons)) and specializations (e.g. international ed, intercultural ed, school/community, curriculum studies); via email, the web, the newsletter and conferences.

Consultancies

  • Establish systems to identify consultancy opportunities
  • Produce a brochure promoting our areas of expertise

Seminars

  •  Hold monthly seminars (8 per year) on relevant topics, including one by a visiting eminent scholar (Annual Lecture Series)
  • Develop a list of potential visiting scholars

 Newsletter/reporting

  • Produce two issues of Centre newsletter
  • Develop press releases as appropriate
  • Design basic web site
  • Develop promotional file of projects

Journal

  • Identify niche area for journal
  • Write journal proposal
  • Identify themes for special issues
  • Identify mechanisms for web publishing

Policy development 

  •  Provide briefing papers on our research outcomes to relevant politicians and bureaucrats.
