Membership is encouraged from academic staff and postgraduate students from the School of Education and other academic staff across the Faculty and University, with research interests in International Education and Sustainability.


Members’ Rights and Obligations



Members have the right to:


•    identify themselves with the Centre on research grant and other applications;
•    participate in governance of the Centre including elections;
•    subject to their areas of expertise, initiate and be included in funding applications, postgraduate student recruitment and other Centre activities; and
•    make reasonable use of the administrative support provided by the Centre for Centre activities.

Members are obliged to:
 
•    Be, or be willing to immediately work to become, active researchers (that is, publish in DEST-recognized journals, present DEST-recognized conference presentations, successfully supervise postgraduates and/or successfully obtain external competitive research grants)
•    Use the Centre’s name and the name of the School of Education when making applications for funding on topics of relevance to the Centre (eg Jo Brown, Centre for Research in International Education and Sustainability, UNE);
•    Use the Centre’s name and the name of the School of Education when indicating their academic affiliation in publications undertaken under the auspices of the Centre (eg Gina Papandreou, Centre for Research in International Education and Sustainability, School of Education, UNE); and
•    Inform the Centre of professional activities (publications, presentations etc) conducted in the Centre’s name.

All members have the right to:


•    Present seminars in the Centre’s seminar series;
•    Attend other Centre activities;
•    Network with other members;
•    Be on the Centre’s email list;
•    Receive copies of the Centre’s newsletter; and
•    Have access to the Centre’s website.

All members are obliged to:
