WELCOME

Professional experience is a mandatory component of all pre-service teacher education courses offered by the School of Education.

OUR ROLE

The Professional Experience Office is responsible for the development of professional experience programs, liaison with students and with education providers. We organise the placements and record keeping of all our students’ professional experience components.

Information for students

As a student enrolled in a teaching course at UNE, you will be offered professional experience as a suite of separate units within your course. Find out what your professional experience requirements are on the general information page. From there you can link to details about the Professional Experience units of study in the Course and Unit Catalogue.

Information for supervising teachers

If you are a supervising teacher of one of our students, you will need to complete a report form to send back to us at the Professional Experience Office. From the report forms page, select your relevant teaching context—either Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary—and follow the links to the form that you need to complete.
