Learning and Teaching/Gifted and Talented

Units offered by the Learning and Teaching team fall into two main categories: (1) generic units which cover the general issues with which all teachers need to be familiar, such as how students learn, assessment, grouping practices, and catering for individual differences; and (2) units specifically related to teaching gifted and talented students.

Students who wish to pursue an interest in the gifted and talented area can complete a specialist postgraduate degree such as a Master of Education (Talent Development). Online enrichment courses for talented school students are also offered through the TalentEd Virtual Enrichment Program (TEdVEP). A hard-copy journal "TalentEd" is also published by members of the team. This and other information can be viewed at http://scs.une.edu.au/TalentEd.
