Dr Suzie Gibson who lectures in the School of English, Communication and Theatre recently represented UNE at an International Conference in Venice. The conference, "Tracing Henry James" dealt with the enormous impact of James's thought and writings on the world of past and contemporary fiction and theory.

2004 issue of Australian Folklore
This 300 page issue includes more than 25 articles concerned with aspects of Australian culture.

Among them is a a cluster concerned with the writing of Memoir and (Auto-) Biography leading to the production of written stories. Included here are an opening piece by Donna Lee Brien entitled 'True Tales that Nurture: Defining Auto/Biographical Storytelling' , as well as an exploration of the early ideas of Dymphna Cusack, these of particular interest to New England readers;

The 2004 issue also features a Review Article by Felicity Plunkett entitled 'B[l]ack Tracking Towards Australia: Australian Film After Mabo '.
