Faculty Seminar Guidelines
1. NOMINATIONS
Nominations for faculty seminars to be submitted to the Dean at least four weeks before the proposed seminar so as to allow for adequate publicity and arrangements to be put in place. The seminar must be of general interest to the whole faculty and as such should be pitched at an appropriate level.
2. EXPENSES FOR FACULTY SEMINARS
The Faculty will pay for travel, accommodation (if necessary) and catering costs related to the seminar. However, travel expenses will normally be limited to Sydney-Armidale or Brisbane-Armidale return and should be booked through the University system.
3. ITEMISED SUMMARY OF PROPOSED COSTS
An itemised summary of costs is to be submitted with the nomination for a faculty seminar.
4. ARRANGEMENTS FOR FACULTY SEMINARS
PUBLICITY
The nominating school is responsible for promoting the seminar to members of the Faculty.
CATERING
The Dean's Executive Assistant will be responsible for catering arrangements for faculty seminars in cooperation with the appropriate Head of School or nominee. (Please note that all purchases of alcoholic beverages have to be made through the Resource Manager).
VENUE
The Deans Executive Assistant in cooperation with the nominating school is responsible for the booking of a suitable venue for the seminar
TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER ARRANGEMENTS FOR SPEAKERS
The nominating school will be responsible for the itinerary and for funding any meals associated with the speaker's visit. All travel and accommodation arrangements for seminar speakers must be booked through the Resource Manager's Office by the nominating school.
