General Staff Enterprise Agreement
2000/2003
Welcome to the University of New Englands
web page on Enterprise Bargaining for general
staff.
You may be aware that both the Academic Staff
Enterprise Agreement and the General Staff
Enterprise Agreement nominally expire on 1 October
1999. The expiry of these Agreements heralds the
commencement of negotiations between University
management and the relevant unions for new
enterprise agreements.
The University aims to provide a clear and
transparent communication structure for this round
of enterprise bargaining. (In previous negotiations
the University communicated to staff indirectly,
and, moreover, staff had little input into matters
put forward for negotiation.)
This web site has been established to provide
all staff with information about, and relevant to,
these negotiations, as well as a progress report on
negotiations. As you can see the site contains a
framework for minutes of meetings, correspondence,
draft EBA clauses, frequently asked questions,
information about methods of communications on
enterprise bargaining (as you will see some pages
are awaiting their content).
In addition to this Web site, the University
will be developing other communications structures
such as communication groups, where the
communication group will be responsible for the
effective dissemination and collation of
information and feedback from all staff.
