Senior Common Room

The Senior Common Room exists to promote, support and protect the intellectual, academic, social, cultural and sporting interests of Earle Page College, and to assist with improvements to the physical environment of the College.
The non-resident membership of the SCR includes current and former UNE academics and general staff, as well as a broad cross-section of members of the Armidale community. Several of the members are recent and not-so-recent residents of the College who still live locally. Current residents who hold senior positions within the College also have membership of the SCR.
Non-resident members of the SCR take part in many of the activities which involve residents of the College. Some of our academic members assist with academic matters, to help residents achieve success in their studies; some serve as mentors when the need arises; some become involved in events like the annual Charity Fashion Parade, the annual College Ball, the annual Inter-collegiate Quiz Challenge, the annual Musical, and the annual Charity Coast Run. We have also assisted with tasks like restoring courtyard benches.
The bottom line for the SCR is that we are all members because we share a bond with the College and want to do all we can to ensure that residents are able to take full advantage of all that University life in general, and College life in particular, have to offer, while being successful in gaining the degree they came for.
New members of the SCR are always welcome. If you are interested in the possibility of joining us to work in support of the College, please contact the College office in the first instance. They will then put you in touch with me.
