Who We Are
Page is a non-denominational residential college for 295 students. It is well known for its attractive grounds and great facilities. We believe our greatest strength is the people who make up our community - the students and staff. In 2013, Earle Page College will celebrate it's 50th year of providing a home for UNE students.
Our College members enjoy:
Unity through diversity
Page is a diverse community and students of all years share a close bond. We are a large college with students from all faculties and courses, and offer a range of interest groups and activities. Our students come from all over Australia, and all over the world. We have students from Coonamble, Dooralong, Bathurst, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Austria, Egypt, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the USA).
Student support
Your Resident Fellow, who is the 'floor leader' for about 25-30 students, will be there with information, advice and a coffee whenever you need a chat. They will also arrange floor weekends away, floor sports and floor parties. Floor culture is very important at Page and students are every passion about the floor they live on. They even sit together at meals.
When it comes to needing some assistance with your studies, there's the team of Academic Mentors who cover each are of study. They also run study workshops and can get you in touch with your academic support at UNE.
Opportunities for student leadership
At Page there are opportunities for student leadership in a range of areas. There are Senior Students, Marketing, Charity and Webpage Officers, Sports and Cultural coordinators, Producers and Directors of the Musical and many more. These positions provide you with a great experience and allow you to give back to your college.
Links to the wider community
We invite members of the local community to lectures and to our well-known Annual Politics Dinner and Lecture. Past speakers include: Joe Hockey, John Howard, Peter Garrett, Philip Ruddock and Julia Gillard.
Members of the community are also involved with the College's Senior Common Room. The SCR members assist with fundraising, study support and support in general. They attend formal dinners, college BBQs and support the sports and cultural pursuits as well.
The atmosphere, friendliness, student support and college spirit here at Page are hard to beat.
