Sporting Excellence

We pride ourselves on strong sporting spirit. We have shown over the past few years that our college is definitely the college that facilitates the sporting needs of its residents. We are a challenging opposition, whether it be on the field, on the court, on the track or in the pool.

Being a large college we field teams across a broad range of sports, with the emphasis being on participating and enjoyment. College members can choose to participate in sporting competitions at Inter-College, University, City and Regional levels. The Earle Page College Sports' Association is responsible for the co-ordination of Mary Bagnall (girls) and President's Trophy (guys) Inter-College Sporting Competitions.

Sports played include:

  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Rugby League
  • Baseball
  • Cricket
  • Australian Rules
  • Touch Football
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Hockey
  • Swimming
  • Netball
  • Tennis
  • Water Polo
  • Rugby Union
  • Basketball
  • Badminton

Many other sporting and recreational activities take place during the College calendar, including floor camps, bushwalking, abseiling, kayaking and trips to the coast. During the warmer months twilight touch football or soccer played on the front lawn is a popular way to relax at the end of the day.

Our results in the Inter-College Sports are indicative of the enthusiasm and spirit shown by College members and their willingness to participate and enjoy themselves on the sporting field.
