Annual Charity Coast Run
Students are encouraged to look beyond the College and to be involved in acts of community service. Every year since 1980 the College has conducted a Fun Run from Armidale to Coffs Harbour to raise funds for charity. More than $450,000 has been raised.
Fundraising activities, which the whole college gets involved in, include a fashion parade, trivia nights, scavenger hunts, raffles, theme nights at the University Bar, and slave auctions. The actual Fun Run takes place over two days and covers 220 kilometres, from Armidale to Coffs Harbour on the coast. On the completion of the run, participants relax and socialise at the coast for a number of days before returning to Armidale.
The College is also involved with local community projects such as Land Care, the Blood Bank, Clean Up Australia Day, Red Nose Day, Girl's Night In, and Daffodil Day.
