Computer Room

The computer room houses 13 Pentium 4 PCs, a HP LaserJet Printer and a Xerox Photocopier which residents can use 24/7 to type and print assignments, do research, write applications, etc. The maintenance of the systems is carried out by the resident Network Officer, Kane Lorimer. Some of the features of the computer room include:

  •  24hr swipe-card access using your UNE ID card

  •  13 Pentium 4 computers running Windows XP

  •  HP Laser Printer

  •  Xerox Photocopier

  •  All computers + printer connected to the UNE network

  •  Comfortable office swivel chairs

  •  Reverse cycle air conditioning

  •  Resident Student Computer Officer on call to help with any problems

  •  Each computer has a CD-ROM drive with a headphone socket for listening to music while  you work
  •  A second computer room is also available 24/7 and houses 5 older PCs connected to the  UNE network. This room is used for email and other internet purposes.

    • Honours Room

    Honours Room

        The honours room is set-aside specifically for resident honours students. It provides up to eight students with an individual desk, chair and modern computer station for ultimate working conditions.
