Christmas Carols

Christmas Carols

The very end of the year saw the College Master being requested to expand his portfolio to include being the Master of second college. This is to be achieved through the creation of a central Residential System office which will take responsibility for fees collection and some other business functions. Thus he returns in January as Master of Earle Page and Austin Colleges. He hopes to make the transition as seam-less as possible for the residents of both colleges which will remain as distinct communities with their own cultures and activities.

Farewell to Narelle

Farewell Narelle

On the 4th April the college farwelled Narelle Dowse, who is leaving after 38 years of exceptional service to the members of Earle Page College. Narelle has been one of the two Dining Hall Supervisors.

The College farwelled Narelle with drinks in the Earle Page dining hall and a stirring rendition of Piano Man, normally reserved for the farewell of Valedicts at EPC Valedictory Dinners.

Many emails have arrived to wish her well from Alumni all around the world. These include CEOs of companies, bankers, a musical star, a religious leader, business people and other professionals, former Masters and College Presidents from as far away as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the US, UK, Japan. All these people relate to their years in college via the people who shared that time with them and Narelle is a key link for them all.

We thank Narelle for the countless hours she has put in over the years. Such long service and dedication is rare. It's with sadness that she leaves us.
