Glen Michael Howe

12/8/1963-10/7/08
BSc 1985 and BSc(Hons) 1986

After completing his honours research in renal physiology, Glen applied to a number of universities to study medicine. He took up a place at the University of Tasmania as he was able to start at second year in recognition of his previous studies.

After graduation, he completed his internship at the Royal Hobart and then took up the position of head of trauma and intensive care at the Calvary Hobart.

Colleagues in the medical profession remember him as a kind-hearted man and doctor who was dedicated to the welfare of his patients. His humour, support, warmth and wonderful human nature will be missed. He was dearly loved by his family, highly regarded by those who knew him, and respected for his work ethic.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; five sons, Sam, Jack, Max, Gus, Ned and an adopted daughter, Emebet; and his parents and brother, Stuart.
