EPC Alumni Harbour Cruise Dinner

Incorporating the celebration of 30 years of the Charity Coast Run …

Earle Page college will be celebrating the Coast Run Charity’s 30th anniversary this year in true style. It promises to be a great evening of catching up with friends, meeting other old pageites as well as meeting the current coast run team. The details for the dinner are:

  • Date: Thursday, 24th of September 2009
  • Time: departing 6:45pm sharp, returning at approx. 9:30pm
  • Venue: M.V. Sydney 2000 (operated by Captain Cook Cruises) departing from Circular Quay – Jetty 6
  • Cost: Approx. $65 for a full buffet and one drink on entry.

The EPC Coast Run team is also off to Sydney to celebrate its 30th Anniversary of raising fund for research into childhood diseases. Last year the team presented a cheque to the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) for $35,000.00. This year the students hope to raise even more. The total over those years is approximately $350,000.00 raise by students of Earle Page College.

The Coast Run team’s celebrations, which will include its founder, Mr Brent Gregory, the Chancellor of UNE, the Hon Richard Torbay MP also the Speaker of the NSW Legislative Assembly, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Alan Pettigrew, Patron of the Coast Run will culminate in a run into Government House where the NSW Governor, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, also Patron of the CMRI, will congratulate the College for its continuous high-level charity fund-raising efforts over 30 years.

The Coast Run team will leave Armidale early on Thursday 24th September and coach down to Sydney, courtesy of the Vice-Chancellor, to a reception at Parliament House with the Hon Richard Torbay at 4pm. They will attend the Alumni Harbour Cruise Dinner from 6.45pm to 9.30pm. On Friday 25th September, they will (hopefully) run across the Harbour Bridge to circular Quay and the Opera House. They will be at the Opera House steps at 10am and interested people are welcome to join us there. They then run into Government House at 11am for the reception with the Governor. They will be bussed from there to the CMRI in Westmead to tour their facilities at 1pm before returning to Armidale that evening.

All EPC Alumni and current pageites, whether old Coast Runners, or not, are welcome to get together with friends for this Alumni Reunion Harbour Cruise to help us celebrate your old college, which continues to go from strength to strength. Their is a maximum of 200 people can attend, so first in first served.
