Name of the year: The year of the Runs

Why the year was so named: In this year the College acheived success in athletic events, and the Coast Run acheived a greater success than any prior year.

Musical: One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest

Significant events of that year:

• It was the last year freshers were required to do 'Phone Duty' from the single line that entered college on Mid B. The Freshers were the operator that patched the calls to students on other floors. Later in the year each floor could receive phone calls direct thus ending a task which many had disliked.
• Wright College ate at the Page dining Hall due to lack of numbers.
