The framework for entrepreneurial activities is set out in a number of documents as follows. The order of items in this list is hierarchical, with each document implementing the requirements of the preceding item.
- The University of New England Act 1993, notably sections 21B and 21C
- Guidelines for Commercial Activities is required in Section 21B of the Act
- Register of Commercial Activities (not available by web) is required in Section 21C of the Act and Section 8 of the Guidelines
- Manual for administering the Register of Commercial Activities sets out how the Register is stored, set out, updated, and reported
- Entrepreneurial Policy ensures fulfilment of responsibilities set out in the Guidelines and Manual
- Entrepreneurial Committee provides oversight of the Policy; its terms of reference are appended to the Policy
- Integrated Project Management is a schema applied to selected projects by the Committee in accordance with the Policy
- Entrepreneurial Office assists with project management, and in particular works with Faculties to assist projects comply with the requirements set out under this framework. It reports to the DVC (D&I)
