A Day in the Life of...

8.00 Alarm beeps. 8.20 Wake up, check clock and panic 8.30 Walk (very quickly) to lectures. 8.50 Walk into common room and discuss weekend's gossip (of which there is plenty). 9.00 Lecture. 11.00 Go to hospital to give blood (run into lecturer and get interrogated about the weekend's events). 12.00 Lunch at Hungry Jack's where Duval gets 20% discount. 12.30 Go to Duval Gym (to work off HJs) and muck around with the girls for a while. 2.00 Return to lectures. 4.00 Return to college and do some study. 5.00 Discuss study with other med students on my floor. 5.30 Dinner at college. 6.30 Start of a quiet night in, call mates around college and invite them to my room for a couple of beers and some YouTube videos. 8.30 Go to Senior Common Room trivia. 10.00 Bed before another day...

7.30am my alarm starts going off, but I quickly press the sleep button. 7.50am I finally get out of bed. 8.30am I head down to the dining hall and grab a croissant to take away and eat while I walk to my law lecture with Jarrad and Rob. 10.50am our class finishes so we start walking back to college. 11.50am I meet Mia in the courtyard and go to lunch, mmm I wonder what it is going to be today, just so many choices to make. I grab the pizza while Mia gets the sushi. Tuesday afternoon I do not have class so I start doing some readings. Mia, Emma, Jess and I go into town to get some beers for buy a boy a beer day, I can not wait for buy a girl a flower day next week.

4.45pm comes so we all go down to bottom tander's to do aerobics with Ruth. It is so much fun, I just wish I was coordinated enough to do half of the exercises. We all go to dinner late, its chicken breast with honey mustard sauce and vegies... my favorite. I go to the Senior Common Room with everyone to watch some pay TV until 7.30pm. Then off to my room to finish the readings which I started earlier today, I finish these and look at an assignment I will start in the morning. I have a shower and go to bed to watch the Olympics.

Bec M's Wednesday

8am get up and go to the college gym for an hour, do a bit of a circuit on all of the machines. I have a maths lecture at 10am so quickly come back and shower and head to brekky for some bacon and hash browns mmm... Head up top for my lecture and then back down as I have to go into town with Flick to organise things for Aussie Night! 12pm There's pumpkin soup for lunch today yay!! I sit at lunch with a bunch of people and we discuss whether we'll head up to the bistro tonight or not.  Back to my room to finish up on my readings before I head up top to my education tutorial at 3pm.  Back from class at 5pm and head down to the Junior Common Room to watch a little bit of TV before dinner, which tonight is Mexican themed! After dinner I head to Tegan's room where we decide on the best questions to do for our assignments. 9:30pm Decide to head up to the stro to see what's happening, am home by midnight so I can be up and ready for class at 9am in the morning...

Bec S's Thursday

Didn’t have class until 11 today, so had a bit of a sleep in! Rach and I went up a bit early though, we have a group nursing assignment to do together, so we got a few resources from the library before class. Class went for 2 hours, then we had a break for an hour, then class again, so we used our meal cards at the UNE cafe to buy a coffee and some lunch. When we finished class I came back to college, did some work on my assignment. Went and watched PT Rugby with Liz at Bellevue Oval, we won! Got back to college in time for dinner, pizza and pasta! We have our 80’s theme pub night tonight! Everyone is decked out in their leg warmers and crimped hair, it’s going to be an awesome night. Not too big though, class starts at 9am tomorrow!

Leah's Friday

I got up at about 7.30 and to start my day off I went to the Duval gym, then down to the Dining Hall for breakfast; a freshly made coffee, some toast and a banana. I’m lucky that on Fridays I don’t have to go up top for any lectures/tutorials, but as the boys are playing footy tomorrow I wanted to get on top of my work so I can go support them (and so I can go out tomorrow night!!), so I completed my readings on cognitive development and studied for my math unit, then lunch; lemon fish and a salad. I have to make a Sock-puppet for an assignment, a rainbow Boa Constrictor, so I quickly pop into town with Liz and grab some paint. On Saturday night our pub night is Aussie night, so while we’re in town we rummage through op shops (a college students best friend) for costumes, we’re on first name basis with most of the ladies who work there. I get a white shirt to draw fruit on, I'm going as a Pavlova! We also get heaps of Aussie tattoos and green and yellow ribbons. Before dinner I knock over another reading and as it’s a Friday night a group of us grab some Thai take-away for din dins, for a bit of a treat and watch a movie in the JCR.

Rach's Saturday

I wake up at 8.30am with Scotty banging on my door. We have a Kayak paddle practice out at the dam this morning to help get ready for the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic. The water is quite chilly so tried really hard not to fall in! It's fun, but really hard work. Back at College we have a shower and then meet some mates in town for coffee and lunch. I head up to the library to put the finishing touches on one of my assignments. I come back to college and everyone is sitting in the courtyard having an afternoon beverage in the sun. The girls and myself begin to make our outfits for Aussie Night.

7pm Aussie Night begins, heaps of people are wearing Australian flags and are covered in Aussie tattoos. I went as Bindie, I had a rubber snake and lizard! Ali went as the big pinapple! Everyone looks amazing. The dance floor is pumping – The band is on fire – The BBQ is sizzling and the fun is flowing.

Before I know it, Aussie Night has come and gone and it’s still my favorite function of all time.

Scott's Sunday

Finally it’s Sunday and I get a good sleep in. I slowly crawl out of bed at 10am. I go over to the college café and get some cereal and a flat white to enjoy in the sun with the boys. We have some good conversations remembering the antics from the weekend. Not going to the gym today – it’s my day off.

Back to my room to gather up all the dirty clothes to finally do the washing that I have been putting off all week. Now with the washing all in the dryer and my room clean I head off to the dining hall with some mates for cook-your-own for an amazing BLT! With all the chores out of the way I kick back with a Rach, Hussey and Tommy and watch a movie (and yes mum, I was doing revision whilst watching the movie, so don’t worry). After dinner, I had roast, I sit back for a few beers with all the other law students to discuss our studies and group assignments. This is a great way to get to know everyone and help younger students with any problems that they might be having, whilst also having a laugh about the lecturers. It’s now 10pm and after a nice warm shower I hop into bed to have a long sleep before the week ahead...
