CONGRATULATIONS to all D&S boys and girls who participated in the PT (President’s Trophy) and MB (Mary Bagnall) Sporting 
competition!! This year, the D&S girls came 1st overall in the MB Sporting competition! That is an awesome effort from the smallest College, once again proving that quality over quantity is best! D&S were also winners in the 2011 A-Res Netball Competition. D&S also had a huge contribution to the Northern University Games, both in players and volunteers.
Sport is very important and popular at UNE, especially amongst the Colleges. Each weekend is allocated a different sport and all of the Colleges play off against each other, earning points towards two trophies. It is great fun for people of all sporting levels and is also a great day out for the supporters. Colleges try to sing their songs louder than the others and a lot of people take picnics along to watch and cheer for their mates. It is also a great chance for people to try sports that they never imagined they'd play!
Drummond and Smith College is one of only two UNE colleges ever to win all 3 intercollegiate trophies for culture, men’s sport and women’s sport. 2 years later, we won two of them and came second in the other. Not bad for the smallest college! We just ask everyone to get in and have a go, even if you are hopeless at sport. That’s why we do so well, no one is ‘expected’ to get involved, everyone really wants to be a part of it, and to support their team and D&S.

Affiliated Sports
Drummond and Smith has an its own footy team, known as ‘Reds’. This allows D&S students to have quality training, coaching and games. It also provides a great day out for D&S spectators!
