Georgie's week at College!

Georgie, one of Drummond & Smith's 2011 first year students, kept track of her week at College. This will give you a great insight of a true week at College!

Georgie's Week at Drummond & Smith

Monday- Kicked off the week with a great breakfast at the d hall. After a friendly chat with Mick the cleaner I headed up top for class. After a French Tutorial and History lecture I got a quick lunch at the cafe before going to my Psyc lecture. I walked back to college where a volley ball match was in full swing. I played for a little while before going to dinner. Dinner was chicken schnitzel YAY! After dinner there was a practice for the SFK Performance Night. After practice, Lucy and I shared a pot of tea and biscuits before bed.

Tuesday- Woke up late this morning, so I quickly made some toast before driving up to my Psyc lecture with Ryan. Did some research for an assignment in the library before coming back down to College. After having lunch out in the sunshine of the courtyard I did a bit of French homework with Clare and Sam. Quickly had dinner in the d hall before walking up to Sport UNE for a game of social netball. We lost, but had a lot of fun. After showering an epic round of the game Trouble began between myself, Katlyn, Sam and Ryan. Having won many games of Trouble I decided to quit while I was ahead and went to bed.

Wednesday- Had cereal in my room for breakfast and did some readings for my Law tutorial. Went down to lunch at the d hall and had a yummy salad sandwich. Decided to walk up to my Law tutorial because it was such a nice sunny day. Got a lift back to college after class with Billy. Lucy, Tahlee and myself went into town to find a costume for the Stro tonight. After visiting every op shop in town we had put together the perfect outfits for the Octoberfest theme. After a quick pitstop at Dan Murphy's we returned to college for dinner.  We had a few drinks and got ready for the Stro. After a few laughs and many photos we began the trek up the hill to the Stro. Once we had made it Lucy and I headed straight for the dance floor where we danced the night away.

Thursday- Luckily my first class was not until 12 today as I had a bit of a headache from the night before, but it was nothing a dining hall breakfast could not fix. Wasn't up for the walk up the hill so Grace drove us to class. We decided to not have dining hall lunch and instead went to Maccas with Sam and Ryan. Finished off an assignment that afternoon then went down to dinner. After dinner there was a rugby match on so I went and watched that. Having decided not to go out to the Kilda we went down to the GB and played some pool. We played cards and then decided to call it a night.

Friday- No class today so I caught up on work in the morning. Lucy came and visited and we had a chat then went down to lunch. We decided to go to Nev's to get an ice cream that afternoon. Tried to do a bit more work then sat out in the courtyard and had a drink before dinner. We had decided to cook our own dinner tonight, so using Lucy's fry pan and Matt's turbo oven we cooked up a feast of garlic bread, chicken fajita's and chocolate cake for desert. It was delicious. We decided to go out to the Whitebull for some cocktails and a bit of a dance. Caught the night rider bus back to college and went to bed.

Saturday- Decided to walk up to Sport UNE for an early morning swim. Came back to college and ate breakfast with Ryan, Will and Ash. Cleaned up my room a bit and put on a load of washing. Worked on a group assignment after lunch then got ready for Lauren's birthday dinner. I borrowed a dress from Lucy and wore my new heels. We had the best meal at the Red Grapevine in town; it was amazing! Didn't feel like going to the Newy so I came back to college and watched a few movies.

Sunday- Was awoken early by the MB reps for sport. The sport was soccer. We played a lot of games and actually won a few. We then went and watch the boys play PT cricket. Starving, we decided to get some fish and chips from Pearl Perch for lunch. That afternoon there was another SFK performance night practice. The performance is going quite well I think we have a good chance of winning this year. Tonight's dinner was roast beef with vegies. After dinner I did some reading for my class the next day. Had a floor meeting and    found out what's going on next week. Went up to Top B common room and watched TV and chatted with everyone there. After a busy week it was time for bed to prepare for what was in store for me next week.
