Invitation
Imagination
is largely formed by the environment in which we live, work and celebrate. We
have called this process 'dreaming landscapes'.
This gathering is designed to invite us into dreaming and imagining new landscapes.
Speakers and interactions will fire our imagination. This conference will offer
opportunities for sharing stories and insights which craft our professions as
well as space for learning and reflecting as we share our diverse experiences.
In the Australian landscape, a bush fire can be disastrous, but some seeds only germinate after a bush fire has cracked the pods to release the seed into the ground. The green that emerges from the black devastation of the bush fire is vibrant and wholesome. How do we work creatively in our own landscapes?
Through this conference we will explore landscapes we inhabit, joys, challenges and dreams. We will endeavour to create a safe environment for cross cultural and multi faith dialogue as we learn with one another.
Out of past
and present realities, we dream our futures. Dreaming,
for Indigenous Australians, creates landscape, lore and laws. It forms and informs
life, connects and reconnects people to their place and shapes their future. This
conference will explore landscapes of learning communities, landscapes of justice
and respect and landscapes of faith and religion. It will also envision new landscapes
for our work.
There will be three streams in the conference. The
program will allow you to concentrate on one stream or to choose sessions from
different streams. A keynote speaker will offer
the primary focus for each stream. There will also be a second speaker and a
seminar for each stream.
