Travelling to Armidale

Drive

Armidale is on the New England Highway, which is the excellent inland route between Sydney and Brisbane. Driving time from Sydney or Brisbane is around 5.5 to 6.5 hours (depending on your route) and less than 3 hours from the coast. Fly

QANTAS has several flights to and from Armidale each day. Budget for between $450 and $750 return from Sydney depending on availability and how early you book.

Regional Express provides three services a day from Sydney to Armidale, from as little as $104 one way.

Fly Corporate now flies 12 times per week between Brisbane and Armidale, from $149 one way.

Train

Countrylink provides discounts on rail travel to Armidale. You can expect pay around $100 return from Sydney with your discount. The Countrylink service includes the Central Coast, Newcastle, Muswellbrook, Singleton and Tamworth.

You'll be required to show your student card. You can arrange one through Safety and Security.

Bus

Dorrigo Transit operates from Armidale to Coffs Harbour, two to three times a week. Pick up is available from the University and in town at the Information Centre.
