| Unit Description |
Multivariate techniques are important tools in data analysis. This unit will examine common multivariate techniques emphasising both theoretical and practical aspects. Topics will include the Wishart distribution, elliptical distributions, graphical methods, principal components, canonical correlation, multivariate analysis of variance and discriminant analysis. The statistical software, R, will be used. One lecture and two workshops per week throughout the semester. |
