Unit Description

Topics include: the F-distribution; design and analysis of experiments with one or two factors; orthogonal partitions; fixed and random effects; block designs; multiple regression, including use of dummy variables; and an introduction to generalised linear models. Off-campus students must have access to the statistical package R. A CD including R will be sent with external notes. Three lectures and a one-hour laboratory session per week.
