Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. formulate intellectually significant questions pertaining to a selected area of sociology;
  2. attain higher order, independent research skills;
  3. demonstrate advanced analytical abilities and a skill in combining a broad range of research materials, from various sociological resources in order to answer their dissertation question;
  4. write up an extended research dissertation based on the students' own question and research.
