Unit Description

PSYC101 and PSYC102 are the two introductory psychology units which are the prerequisites for enrolment in second year psychology units. Together they present an introductory overview of the subject matter and methods of psychology. Topics covered in PSYC101 concern features of individual functioning, including: neurobiological basis of behaviour; psychological development; sensory processes; perception; learning and conditioning; and memory. An introduction to the nature of psychology and its methods is also included.
