| Unit Description | This unit introduces students to a range of topics in Asian studies such as family, classical states, imperialism, nationalism, women and religion. Through an examination of these and other topics students are encouraged to develop a critical attitude toward ethnocentric and orientalist views of Asia. | |||||||||
