| Unit Description |
This unit provides an introduction to descriptive and theoretical approaches to the analysis of sound systems across languages, building on the knowledge from foundation units in linguistics. The focus is on problem solving and data analysis, rather than theory, though some current theoretical perspectives are also discussed, along with applications to first and second language learning in particular. Web access is essential. |
