| Unit Description |
This unit is about how people acquire that complex system of communication, human language, in both its spoken and written forms, and how various theories account for this amazing feat. The topic is viewed from the perspectives of linguistics, cognitive development and social interaction, with reference to both practical and theoretical approaches, and to quantitative, psycholinguistic and qualitative methodologies. Web access is essential. |
