Unit Description

This is the second intermediate language unit that develops students' ability to communicate in and understand Italian at an enhanced level. It completes the revision of grammatical areas introduced in first-year Italian and continues a focus on the reading and appreciation of appropriate texts.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. reach an intermediate level of understanding, reading, writing and speaking Italian;
  2. better understand and appreciate Italian culture and society; and
  3. gain an experience of language acquisition that will facilitate further language and non-language learning.
