Unit Description

This unit provides students with the opportunity of studying Indonesian in Indonesia at beginner-intermediate level. This is an in-country programme developed in collaboration with the University of the Sunshine Coast, Charles Darwin University, the University of Tasmania and Mataram University in Indonesia.

Materials Textbook information will be displayed approximately 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the teaching period. Please note that textbook requirements may vary from one teaching period to the next.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. demonstrate more natural oral and aural abilities in Indonesian;
  2. display improved writing and reading skills in Indonesian; and
  3. have concrete experience of Indonesia and Indonesians, which contributes significantly to motivation and understanding for subsequent Indonesian units.
