Unit Description

This unit focuses on the contextual features of First Peoples organisations and business in Australia and internationally. It explores specific cultural expectations and mores associated with the role of contemporary public policy in promoting such entities.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. identify First Peoples public and private organisations in Australia and internationally;
  2. demonstrate an understanding of concepts and issues associated with First Peoples organisations and business;
  3. identify and analyse issues that impact on First Peoples organisations and business;
  4. select and synthesise information and ideas from the literature; and
  5. identify and understand the contemporary relationship between politics, public policy and First Peoples organisations and business.
