| Unit Description |
This unit introduces non-law students to the legal framework of environmental planning issues and administration and covers matters relevant to local government, public and statutory bodies and authorities. Topics include environmental planning and assessment, pollution control, the court system and mediation, the Constitution, statutory interpretation, administrative law, regulatory theory and aspects of criminal and civil liability. The interaction between the law and other institutions is also investigated. Online access is essential. Assessment for 400 level entails more advanced work.
