| Learning Outcomes (LO) |
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

demonstrate a critical understanding of key concepts regarding the relationship between humans and places (including issues such as belonging, exile and dispossession, inclusion and exclusion, globalization, sustainability and Indigenous relationships to place), of the way power may be exercised and the influences on human behaviour in relation to place and place usage (including the effects of perception, norms and culture), and different approaches to thinking about and making decisions about places (including decisions about land use and land use change)

demonstrate a critical and self-aware understanding of the personal impact of place connections as well as the potential impacts on place of people?s connections to place;

demonstrate advanced problem solving abilities, analytical capacities and research, report writing, group participation, communication and critical thinking skills; and
