Unit Description

This unit looks at the nature of life in the contemporary large city. It focuses on how individuals cope with city living, social and political change within Australian cities, and economic change, particularly as this relates to the global economy.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. understand the nature of life in the contemporary large Australian city;
  2. understand how large Australian cities are changing;
  3. demonstrate information literacy, critical thinking and report writing skills.
