Unit Description

This unit complements the third-year language units by offering translation from and into French and work in the stylistic analysis of modern and contemporary French. The unit also complements the other translation unit, but may be taken independently of it.

  1. translate accurately from and into French at an advanced level;
  2. know and apply culture-specific features of French; and
  3. analyse the stylistic features of contemporary French.
