Unit Description

This unit complements the units FREN301 and FREN302 in offering translation from and into French and work in the stylistic analysis of modern and contemporary French. The unit is a continuation and extension of FREN303 or FREN403, but may be taken independently of them.

  1. translate accurately from and into French at an advanced level;
  2. demonstrate knowledge of, and attention to, culture-specific features of French;
  3. analyse the stylistic features of contemporary French.
