Supervised Exam There is a UNE Supervised Examination held at the end of the teaching period in which you are enrolled.
Pre-requisites FREN101 or equivalent level of knowledge or students with Beginners (2-Unit Z) French or with a pass less then 70% in HSC 2-Unit (Continuers) French can enrol in this unit
Co-requisites None
Restrictions FREN150 or students with a pass of 70% or better in HSC 2-Unit (Continuers) French, or students with 3-Unit French, are not permitted to enrol in this unit
Notes

Students with HSC 2-Unit French Continuers (70%+) or 3-Unit French should enrol at 200 level. Native speakers should enrol at 200 level or above, after consultation with the Convenor of the discipline.

Unit Description

French Language 1B develops further and strengthens the levels of proficiency acquired in the introductory unit, so that students may competently read and understand, and accurately write and speak, basic French.

Materials Textbook information will be displayed approximately 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the teaching period. Please note that textbook requirements may vary from one teaching period to the next.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. read French competently at a basic level;
  2. understand French competently at a basic level;
