Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
-
complete a range of shorter tasks to develop and practise research and writing skills;

understand and use appropriate grammar, spelling, punctuation and presentation in written tasks;

identify and access relevant library resources, conduct keyword searches, compile bibliographies and take notes;
-
evaluate the content and presentation of other students' written work (on-campus students are expected to read their work aloud in class; both on-campus and online students are encouraged to exchange drafts and comments via email and website Discussion Board);
-
plan and draft a formal essay on a topic, taking account of group feedback, and revise and edit the essay.
