Unit Description

This unit caters for those who wish to develop practical and theoretical skills relevant to teaching drama in secondary schools or in community arts contexts. Students will investigate a range of theatrical forms such as mime, movement and mask. On-campus students explore theatrical form through the application of specific techniques and conventions in performance. Off-campus students are set weekly readings and research activities. They have the opportunity to investigate topics of their choice.
