Unit Description

This unit concentrates on a selection of key European novels that have influenced the development and direction of the genre in the 20th and 21st centuries. All texts are studied in English.
Materials Textbook information will be displayed approximately 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the teaching period. Please note that textbook requirements may vary from one teaching period to the next.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. critically discuss novels from a range of cultures;
  2. analyse texts and write critically about them;
  3. discuss cultural diversity as portrayed in varied novels; and
  4. research key novels from European literature.
