Off-campus students attend a 3.5 day Mandatory Intensive School held at the Australian Cotton Research Institute in July-August. The unit exam in an open book style held on the final day of the intensive school.

Unit Description

This unit examines the management of insect pests, weeds and diseases that affect cotton crops. The scientific basis for their management is discussed as well as practical, sustainable methods for their control. Identification, thresholds, integrated control mechanisms of all cotton pests are discussed. Students are required to complete a practical session totalling 3.5 days at the Australian Cotton Research Institute, Narrabri.
