Unit Description

This unit is made up of the results of a research project. A thesis must be submitted which demonstrates a capacity on the part of the candidate for independence of thought and critical evaluation of the candidate's own, and other published work, in the chosen field of study.

In this unit, students do a research project under a supervisor and write a thesis. The thesis is sent to two examiners who will assess the thesis and produce an examination report. If the examiners pass the thesis then the student will pass. The examiners could also fail the thesis or ask to revise it.
