Students will be able to demonstrate awareness of the historical development of feminist perspectives in film theory. This attribute is formally assessed in the essay and the exam.

In this unit this attribute is assessed in the students' written essay and scenario responses. In addition, this is evidenced in their interpretation of and responses to the visual and aural communication components of film. Students also listen to and interpret discussion and information on audio tapes. On-campus students have the additional components of verbal communication in discussions and oral presentations.
