Students will deepen their knowledge of the discipline through the in-depth study in the area of their specialisation.

Students will be assessed on the style of writing, clarity of writing, expression and development of ideas, and referencing. Students will practise their communication skills through completing the assessment tasks.

Global Perspectives
Students will cover a wide range of geographic and cultural areas in their Honours coursework. They will be expected to demonstrate a broad understanding of global issues as they impact on their selected topic areas.

Students are encouraged to develop research skills in collecting and evaluating data, including the skills to assess the utility of information, identify the most useful sources of information and critically examine those sources.

All students are expected to approach Classical Studies from the point of view of social responsibility. As a discipline in the Humanities stable the study of ancient languages and their texts is especially suited to encourage students to think about issues of social responsibility.
