| Course Rules | 1. Admission Requirement A candidate shall: (a) have at least three years' employment experience in a career considered appropriate by the School; and (b) hold a degree of a university; or (c) hold a graduate diploma relevant to the award; or (d) satisfy the school by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature. 2. Award of the Degree (a) Candidates who meet the course requirements listed under Rule 3 and who have not specialized shall be awarded the Master of Professional Studies. (b) Candidates who meet the course requirements listed under Rule 3 and who specialize shall be awarded the Master of Professional Studies in one of the following: Aboriginal Studies; Global Futures, Migration and Cultures; Peace Studies. 3. Course Requirements 3.1. To qualify for the award, a candidate shall pass 48 credit points as specified in Rules 3.2 and 6. 3.2. The course shall comprise: (a) at least six credit points from Group 1. (b) not more than 42 credit points from Group 2. 4. Period of Candidature The maximum period of candidature shall be: (a) one year as a full-time candidate; (b) three years as a part-time candidate. 5. Progress and Conduct Refer to the University General Rule on Academic Progress. 6. Units Offered Group 1 EHPS 590; or any other unit approved by the school. Group 2 ECON 456; EDCX 409, 415 420, 548; EDIT 416; EDLA 403, 414, 512; GEPL 421, 445; PAIS 415; IDIG 402, 411, 412, 515, 416; PDAL 496, 596, 599; PDAS 414, 415, 416, 471, 479, 484, 488, 580, 581, 591; PDLD 470, 471, 473, 510; PDPS 403, 460; PEAC 403, 404, 452, 454, 473; or any other unit approved by the faculty. Program of Study Candidates shall complete an approved undesignated program of study or specialisation as outlined in the Course Schedule comprising:
