Overview

This award enables students to develop a range of management skills. Students select four units and may choose from key management subjects or may choose to specialise in an area such as Marketing or Human Resource Management to develop expertise to suit their work and career goals. This degree serves as an entry and an exit point for the Master of Business Administration.

Entry Requirements

1. A candidate shall:

(a) have fulfilled all the requirements for admission to a three-year degree or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the school as sufficient qualification for admission to candidature; or

(b) satisfy the school by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.

2. In addition, applicants for admission to candidature must provide evidence of at least three years' work experience in a field of employment approved by the school on the recommendation of the Program Director.

Additional Requirements

Applicants will need to supply:

* Certified Copies of academic transcripts

* Certified Copies of evidence of identification

* Evidence of English Language Proficiency if previous studies were not in English

* Curriculum Vitae

* A Personal Statement outlining key items: Most significant achievements to date; How this degree will contribute to your career; Where you see yourself in five years from now;

* 2 Referee Reports will need to be submitted independently by 2 referees (friends and family members are not acceptable)

Advanced Standing

Advanced standing is available for other postgraduate study that has a reasonable correspondence with units prescribed for this degree.

The maximum advanced standing that can be granted for units that have been successfully completed towards a postgraduate qualification at this or another university or institution is up to 50% of a program.

The trimester system allows students to study over three teaching periods each year.

To qualify for the award a candidate must pass units to the value of 24 credit points.

Award of Degree

Candidates who meet the course requirements shall be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Management.
